Songbirds are nature's finest songsters. The vocal organ of these group of birds is higly develoed.This enables them to produce a wide variety of sounds, warblers,tanagers,cardinals,robins,wrens, finches and hundreads of other species make up this diverse group of birds.
The songs of differend species of songbirds vary,and several of them have been named after the sounds they make The New Zealand bellbird,for examples, is so named because its song is similar to the sound of
chiming bells.

Through a large number of songbirds sing before dawn,several of them can be heard at different times of the day.The nightingale,for instance is heard specially at night, hence the name The bird's rich, melodious song inspired English poet john keats to write one of this best-known poem 'ode to a Nightingale'. Another English poet P.B.Shelley was
inspired by the joyful song of a skylark, and Thomas Hardy, by the tuneful song of a thrush singing incold winter months.
