Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is the bird watchers paradise as it provides shelters to more than hundred verities of migratory and native birds.
The kadalundi Bird Sanctuary surrounded by hillocks where the kadalundi river flows in to Arabian sea.this place is locally known as kadalundi Nagaram.
The sanctury hill above 200m from sea leval.
                                   
          This virgin land is above more than a hundred species of native bairds and over 60 of migratory bairds,like seagulls,terns,sandpipers,sandplovers,red and greenshanks,turnstones,that flock here in large numbers from November to April.

A hillock nearby,which is 200m above sea leval,offers a splendid view of the river mouth and the sea.kadalundi is also known for a wide variety of fish, mussels and crabs.The mangrove vegetation here sheltters otters and jackels.
